Thankful for Small Things…

Too often I am looking for BIG THINGS to happen.  Great things.  Amazing things.  What I sometimes overlook are the simple things that happen all around me that I take for granted!

I’m thankful to have coffee in the morning.

I’m thankful for my husband and children.  (This is in no way a small thing, but I sometimes take for granted  that they will just always be around.)

I am thankful for so many great people at church who live out what it means to be a Christian.

I am thankful for that person who called me back so I didn’t have to keep calling  them.

I am thankful for the ability to smell delicious things. (like cinnamon or fresh baked bread.)

I am thankful for gorgeous weather that brings out neighbors at night.

I am thankful for that person who was so friendly and smiled at me when I needed a friendly face.

I am thankful for peanut butter and ice cream…and real butter.

I am thankful for stretchy pants and comfortable dresses with no waistband.

I am thankful that I could go on and on and on.

What are some things you are thankful for today?

Giving Thanks,

Thora
