Long days, short years.

Some days, our routines look different and that’s ok!

I’m learning, in this season, my routine doesn’t look like it used to… I don’t get to sit with the Lord for as long as I like or for as long as I was previously able.

My daily routine doesn’t have a lengthy quiet time. It isn’t filled with “deep study”. Most of the time, when I start my time with the Lord, I’m interrupted only a few minutes in… but that’s ok! This season will be shorter than it currently feels and I will miss every moment of it when it’s gone.

For now, I will be as intentional with my time as possible. I will take several quick breaks through the day to pray and thank the Lord for this season. I will do quick devotionals on my Bible app routinely and deeper studies as time allows. I will be grateful for the chapters in my Bible I am able to read. I will give myself grace for the length of time it will take me to finish my “Bible in a Year” and know that I am doing my best to balance this season with the Lord’s strength and guidance not my own ability.

Thank you, Lord for this season. Help me to enjoy it while I’m in it. We know I will long for this season one day. Don’t let me miss it while it’s here. Amen! 🙏🏻
