March is Women’s History Month. As I take the time to read about some incredibly brave women, I am in awe of the things they have accomplished. There are some truly selfless things that these women have done to successfully move us forward in areas like ministry, women’s rights, civil rights, and much more!
As I was thinking about how incredible these women were, I heard a still, small voice say “you are brave and fearless because you are the Daughter of the King.”
YES! Yes, WE are, ladies!
“If God is for us, who can be against us? Since He did not spare even His own son but gave Him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?” Romans 8:31-32
We are daughters of the King, children of God (John 1:12). We were not made to worry (Matt. 6:25) but to wholly trust the Lord (Proverbs 3:5). He will give us all we need (Phil. 4:19). We are to give our worries and fears to Him (1 Peter 5:7). We are to be prayer warriors (James 5:16) and share the gospel with everyone we meet (Matt. 28:19). We are to live with such honesty and integrity as a testimony to inspire the next generation to continue to act (Romans 14:13-23).
You are a warrior and the enemy will not win. Be ready to fight because the enemy is ruthless (Ephesians 6:10-18). He has come to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10) but a praying woman who trusts in the Lord with all of her heart, who puts on the armor of God and goes to battle for her people will always win against the enemy because she follows the Lord and knows His promises. The Lord wins. That’s truth.
“So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.” Deuteronomy 31:6
How do we do this? We lean into the Father and ask Him to equip us and break the chains that hold us back. We lean into the Father and walk in obedience.
Use the times you have fallen and allow the Lord to build you back up. Use the times you wrestled to sink the roots in deep. You are strong even when you walk with a limp. There is no stopping you when you commit your steps to the Lord.
Be unstoppable. Push yourself beyond your limits to where “it can only be God”. Be a warrior and go to battle (🙏🏻) daily for those you love.
Let us trust in the Lord and know that when we don’t feel fearless, brave, or strong, we can rely on the One who is all of those things and more. He will never leave us in our times of need and He is strong enough to fight our battles. For when I am weak, He is strong.
Thank you, Lord! Help me to live fearlessly obedient full of trust and expectancy. Amen!
