How Are you on the inside?
I often do a prayer practice called the Examen. You can find various versions online. I recently saw a short one which caught my eye. It simply said this:
Proverbs 4:23 “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” Everything inside is going to come out. How are you really doing?
I’ve heard way too many podcasts lately about Christian leaders falling. This I know: Everything inside us is eventually going to come out. We must keep watch of our hearts. Are there those other people who can speak into our lives? If others saw all of the videos I watch, would that be good? (or the amount I drink or eat, etc.)
How are we really doing? Is there anything going “in” us, that would not look good coming out of us? Take stock now.
