I Will Fear No Evil

How many of you are experiencing the attack of the evil one as we dive further and further into 50 Days of Transformation?  In one week, I’ve had people come against me in my all aspects of life.  Some family, some who I thought were friends and some strangers.  All in one week! (and we’ve only just begun-OH MY!)  Well, that’s enough to throw anyone into questioning if what they’re doing is right in God’s eyes.  Am I serving God the right way?  Am I serving people the correct way?  Am I being me in the eyes of God?  Am I living a Godly life?  Is what I’m doing, truly for God’s purposes

I was serious troubled by this, to the point that I was ready to make some changes in my church/spiritual life. Well, then I remembered, GOD DOES NOT PUT THESE TYPE OF DOUBTS IN OUR MINDS! This is the enemy!!

I know and have been told many times, that as we start getting closer to God in our spiritual walk, the enemy will attack with a stronger vengeance that ever before.

So with that, I started digging into scripture and reading anything I could about doubts and fear.

And I found:

Isaiah 41:10

So do not fear, for I am with you: do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will STRENGTHEN you and HELP you, I will UPHOLD you with my righteous right hand!!

and

John 14:27

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives.  Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Once I found these passages, I knew that God is in this with me. He has his hands in all that I/we do.  I changed my attitude and outlook and I reached out and asked God to give me more strength to combat the enemy. I gave it all to Him and God to help release my fear and doubts.  Once I did that, I had such a wonderful peace come over me. People talk about this all the time, but until you release it all to Him, with all your heart, you won’t experience it fully.

Sometimes, life will bring unwanted circumstances, people, or words to us.  How we handle this is up to us.  I choose to release the fear and doubts to God.  I choose to stay in His word every day. I choose HIS love and HIS guidance thru the darker times.  Do you?

  1. I wouldn’t want to come to church and not see you, Kim! I think many share my feelings. You are loved.

  2. This immediately brought to mind the song “I will fear no evil, for my God is with me, & if my God is with me, whom then shall I fear…Oh no, you never let go…” In a meeting this weekend my heart just swelled for those who are the people of God. It’s a joy to see people who have the same bond of loving God, & care so deeply about pleasing Him. Kudos! And thank you Amy for the post.
