Back To School Outreach

Well, I am shamelessly plugging the Back to School Outreach.

This Saturday the 27th will be the culmination of months of work and preparation!  So very exciting, we have over 90 volunteers signed up and so far we already have 588 backpacks packed and ready with supplies!

Friday we’ll be setting up for the event and prepacking the rest of the backpacks.  If your interested in helping out show up on Friday at the high school auditorium at 9am, we’ll need all the help you can give!

If you are in need and you are in the Peoria/Glendale, AZ area come on Saturday to the Vineyard Church North Phoenix 6250 W Peoria Ave  Glendale, AZ 85302.   The doors open at 7:30am, but we recommend you arrive early as it is first come first serve and we are expecting backpacks to go fast.

This year we are also offering sports physicals! And of course haircuts, but don’t forget appointments are limited so arrive early if you want these.  Also if you want a sports physical please make sure to bring your schools physical form as the physician will need it.

Such an amazing event for these kids.  What a great way to show them that God loves and cares for them, and that he sees them in their time of need- sees them as valuable, because of who they are.

What a blessing it has been to coordinate this event.  I’ve learned so much.
