The Least of These

I recently watched a story on Vimeo about a pastor who on his first day to his new church decided to dress as a homeless man and loiter around his church. He wanted to see what his new church members were really made of. Were they stuck in a mindset of pharisaical entitlement, or were they really going to be the hands and feet of our loving Savior? He based this little test on Matthew 25:35-40, which is part of every Christian’s calling: to show love to “the least of these.” Watch this story and see some of the attention this guy gets. Watch the video below.

Pastor dresses up as a homeless man

Sisters, I’m calling on you to be the loving hands of Jesus here at Vineyard Church North Phoenix as well as outside of the church. Our love should be pouring out on the sick, the lame, and the blind as part of the body of Christ. These people may not be limping physically, but they are limping emotionally or perhaps spiritually. You might not be able to spot them with your eyes, but Jesus can point them out to you. Listen with your spirit because the Divine Healer may be speaking to you. And believe me; you don’t want to miss out on the blessings that follow from blessing others.

Much love,
Amanda
