Trusting What I Have Already Received. Do you believe God has given you all you need?
We have so many riches in Christ. I am sure I know intellectually more about my riches in Christ than I actually have trust to live out in my day-to-day life. I need to trust what I have already received.
David, whose trust seemed purified by trials, said in Psalm 56:3-4, “When I am most afraid, I put my trust in you: in God whose word I praise, in God I put my trust, fearing nothing; what can men do to me?”
In Psalms 18: 19 he said, “He rescued me, since He loves me.”
God loves me….and you. Uncompromising trust in God is what keeps us going in the tough times. It is easy to trust God when things are going well. We have to choose to trust God when things are not going so well. Do we live like we KNOW He loves us?
It is so difficult to let go of all those other things we trust in (people, job, money, etc.) and believe that God is enough.
The root choice is to trust that God is with you and will give you what you need most. (At all times)
God, help me make this choice again and again! Even when the weather of life is rough and stormy, help me choose to trust You!
May God be all I need and all I want!
Blessings,
Thora
