God is in the long and short stories of our lives and God is in the details of everything. Recently I heard a teaching by Laurie Short titled, “More is Happening than You See”. I have sat with the thoughts of the long, the short and the details; I smile at God’s movement in my life knowing I can trust Him with the rest of the story.
As Mario and I retire I can look back and see God’s handiwork at times invisible, other times mighty and so often kind and loving; I am awestruck by the goodness of God. I love how the NLT translates 1 Corinthians 13:12,
“Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, just as God now knows me completely.”
Friends life is filled with twists and turns, mountains and valleys, cliffhangers and deep oceans but God knows you and me completely! The Almighty is in the long, the short and the details of our lives! We may only see partially and imperfectly the sum of all that is happening, but we can rest assured that God knows completely.
I want to thank my VC family for your love, prayers and support to Mario and I and our family over the last 33 years that we have called Vineyard Church North Phoenix our home. You have blessed us beyond our imaginations and given us the great privilege of serving you and our community.
Our story continues just differently and we are excited to see all that God has before us.
