Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, there is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:
I think it is time. Time to jump back into church life and community. Time to serve. Time to be with other people. Time to sing together.
Close to 40% of our church family is still waiting to plug back in after Covid-19—and the rest of us are missing out on their spiritual gifts and on living in community with them. All of us are better than some of us. When you think about it, even God exists in community. (God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit)
If you or your family member is immunocompromised, I totally get it. Wait. Be safe.
However, if it is convenient to just watch online so we can do our laundry or not get dressed, I don’t think it is time for that. I think now is a season to plug back in, to use your gifts, to be around other Christians so iron can sharpen iron and so we can be God’s hands and feet.
My two cents.
It’s time.
Blessings,
Thora
Technology has made it easy to never leave home!! But we were created for community!
