Gentle Reminders

Every morning about 7:00 a.m.  my sister’s talking calculator says good morning and plays a few measures of a tune.  My sister Thaila has been gone over 3 years now, but I find I cannot get rid of the talking calculator as it reminds me of her each time I hear it.  Thaila was almost blind, but she had a great heart and she really loved people.

Although she lived a very difficult life the last few years before she passed, Thaila touched many people, partially for the fact that she could do so little physically, but still loved people and loved God immensely.

The verse comes to mind, “Phil. 1:3  “I thank my God every time I remember you.”  Like the taking calculator, I hope someday that something of mine is a sweet reminder to someone else.

Bless you today,

Thora

  1. You taught me something new – and I loved the verse today. I’ll bet your sister was quite a gem!

  2. So thankful I was in a couple of classes at VC with Thaila. She is missed, and you Thora were a wonderful advocate and caregiver on her behalf!
