Burst Out with Thanksgiving

“The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭28:7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Today is Thanksgiving, and I love this holiday almost as much as Christmas! My family usually gathers at one of our homes to just enjoy each other. Then there’s all the food…yum!

I know that not everyone is able to celebrate with family this year. Part of your family may be out of town, or worse yet you may have lost someone close to you. Some of you may be going through a difficult time or have family and friends who are facing loss or other troubles.

When everything is falling apart, we as Christians can always be thankful for our Lord and all He is to us.

Through all the trials of this life, we can choose to praise the Lord and burst out in thanksgiving because He is faithful to help us through it all!

I can be filled with joy even when it hurts. Kinda strange, I know, but with God everything is possible! This only happens when I turn to God, and He helps me.

Turn to the Lord today and ask Him to be your strength and shield when your heart is broken. The scripture says you can trust Him with all your heart. As you go to Him for His help, praise Him and thank Him for Jesus! He will fill your heart with joy in the midst of pain and suffering.

“Burst out with songs of Thanksgiving” as you ponder how good God is!

Also, if you’re like me, wear those extra comfy elastic waist pants. I burst out at Thanksgiving in more than just songs of praise. Just saying…

So thankful for all of you!

  1. It truly is a nice time when family gets together – we had this luxury this year, all of my siblings were actually here – of course we always take time to remember my Dad and Goddaughter who have passed on, but it was very nice… and, of course in my comfy pants! =)
