I’ve been focusing on making healthier lifestyle choices. My goals are to eat better, exercise more and to lose weight. I’ve taken action to incorporate more activity into my day and I’ve cut most junk food from my diet, with the exception of tacos. I can’t quit tacos. Correction, I don’t want to quit tacos.
Anyway, I’ve got a good plan and for the most part I’m sticking to it. I’m doing my very best to be consistent and when I get side tracked, I don’t beat myself up about it. Sometimes things don’t always go as planned; I give myself a pep talk and I start again. In fact, I now plan for those occasional hiccups and I continue to experience good results.
All the positive changes I’ve made are starting to pay off. I have more energy, I sleep better and the extra weight is slowly coming off. Others have noticed and when they ask what my secret is, I don’t hold back what I’ve learned.
I’ve learned not to give up, because at some point you will experience a breakthrough. God loves us too much to allow us continue down a bad path. I put my trust in Jesus and asked for more wisdom and support. I had struggled under my own strength for a long, long time. My will power turned out to be won’t power (thanks Rick Warren); however, I stayed the course. Eventually, I stopped doing the wrong things over and over and I started doing the right things and began to experience right results.
My point is simple. No matter what you’re going through, hoping for or struggling with, Trust in the lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6).
If you’re feeling hopeless, don’t despair. Put your trust in your heavenly father. Worship in your own way and keep pressing in because eventually your breakthrough will come. If it has, share your story and give God his glory.

Trish, great job persevering through your challenges. Thanks for your ending comment about when breakthrough does come, give God His glory. Reminds me of the man healed of leprosy that turned back to thank Jesus!
