Always Come Back to the Solid Place

Even when I don’t feel loved- I am still loved. That’s the solid place. Even when I truly fail- that love still exists. Even when I don’t want it- it’s still there.

“…even when you feel emptiness and the lack of strength to choose… keep saying ‘God loves me, and God’s love is enough’”.

Sometimes I don’t know why I need to be in control. Sometimes my little world feels so out of control I need some sort of relief. I look for relief but don’t find it. Sometimes I have to allow myself to be uncomfortable. Sometimes it is uncomfortable to trust God- when I feel blind to what is going on and my body is responding to stress with waves of anxiety it is difficult to quiet myself and to pray.

I “have to chose the solid place over and over again and return to it after every failure”, as spoken by Henri Nouwen.
