Where is Baby Jesus?
With the crazy busy season surrounding us, I have tried to look for ways in our home to keep Christmas about…well… about Christ! (Of course we also tend to do too many gifts and too much food. You can probably relate.)
One thing we do before Christmas, is set up nativity sets up at our house. We have 5 up. (We actually have 7, but I was simply too lazy this year to put the last two up.)
At first glance, they look very normal. However, what is a bit unusual about these nativity sets, is that the Baby Jesus is missing. My daughter, Zoe, when she was younger, really wanted to find baby Jesus and kept asking me where was baby Jesus? I would not tell her though, because baby Jesus “appears” on Christmas morning.
I am excited to continue this tradition and recognize Jesus coming and being the meaning of Christmas! (even though the kids are not little anymore, it reminds me that Christ is the anticipated “center” of Christmas!)
May Jesus come and be real to you this Christmas!
May you search for Jesus and find Him, and may it fill you with joy!
May God bless your day as you look forward to the coming of Jesus.
Have a wonderful Christmas which is full of the wonder of Christ!
Blessings,
Thora
Amen. This is the first time I am celebrating and looking for Jesus! Today I have peace in my life because of Him.
What a sweet post! I too am glad I get to celebrate the birth of Baby Jesus in a way that brings me great joy.
Very nice – Blessings all back to you for joy and wonder this Christmas too Thora! =)
My daughter was handed down a nativity set that had two baby Jesus’. ?? Had to laugh over that one.
