A Worthy Purpose

“Many persons have a wrong idea of what constitutes true happiness. It is not attained through self-gratification but through fidelity to a worthy purpose.”

Helen Keller

These are interesting words spoken from someone who never saw and never heard. I would say she “sees” better than most.

What worthy purpose do you have fidelity for? What part of Christ and His Kingdom calls to you?  Provokes passion in you?   What do you dream about for the world to be a better place?  hungry children? abused women?  those “lost” with no compass?  raising up leaders?

We, as Christians, have the worthiest purpose of all eternity!

Eph. 2:10 says, “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.”

Notice what God keeps bringing to your mind, heart and spirit. Is there a theme?  What will give true happiness?

Ask God to give you the desires He has for you… for a lasting purpose and for the ability to notice those things and act on them.

Blessings,

Thora

  1. Amen! There’s no greater source of true happiness or fulfillment than knowing you’re doing what you were made to do: serve God and give Him glory!
