Everyone Gets to Play…

Everyone Gets to Play…with the hand they have been dealt…

I loved what Rich Nathan had to say at the recent VCNP leadership conference about, “using what we have” for the sake of the gospel.  Specifically he spoke about using our talents, things we have been entrusted with, any sin we have been redeemed from, and any limitation we have been challenged with.

What I have seen from years in church is people either hiding their sin and limitations…or using them for the glory of God.  Shame makes us want to hide.  Freedom in Christ urges us to use our own circumstances for the Kingdom.

For years, God gave me the opportunity to encourage others going through infertility, because it was something I could understand…and agree with others that it was just really difficult.  I know God used that limitation for His glory.

Now I often come into contact with others who have adopted, or who are simply in the throes of motherhood.  We can share from what we have “lived” much better than from something we can only imagine.

What areas might God want to use you in to encourage others?  Past drug use?  A divorce, a health issue?

God wants to use all of you for His glory.  Don’t bury it.  We have a big God who can use whatever we have been through to bring glory to Him.

Blessings,

Thora
