Dark Chocolate is good for you!

Dark Chocolate really is good for you!

It is true!  I knew it!  In Good Houskeeping’s  December 2010 edition, it stated, “…in a new study, a daily nibble of dark chocolate cut risk of heart attacks and stroke by 39 percent.”

I don’t know about you, but that is more than enough to convince me to eat more dark chocolate!

What I’ve found is that I’ve acquired a taste for dark chocolate.  The more of it I eat, the more I like it, and the less I like milk chocolate.

This kind of reminds me of God’s word.  It really has the answers for life.  When I “eat” the real thing, I want more of it.  I even crave it at times. When I eat an imitation, it just doesn’t satisfy in the same way and it is not lasting.

So, when you eat a treat, think of what really satisfies and fill up with something great!

 Blessings,

Thora

  1. Great analogy, Thora! It’s true that 9 out of 10 people actually crave chocolate and 1 billion people eat chocolate every day.

All chocolate is not created equal though, just like people think there are many ways to heaven.

It reminds me of the scripture that talks about a day where there will be a famine for the Word of God. I pray that all believers (including myself) would literally feel hungry for more of the Word on a daily basis and recognize it; and that we would rise up to the occasion to be all He has created us to be.

  2. I love the analogy and way to grab a woman’s attention. Great post, Thora! Thank you 🙂
