That was a question our kids asked at dinner recently after we were talking about Covid-19 and racism. “NO,” was our answer and discussion ensued.
What a shape our world is in! What will help?! The only thing I can think of that will make lasting change is people who are in love with Jesus, and who exhibit the fruit of the spirit. What if people really considered others as more important than themselves? Every single other person? If everyone had more love and patience and self-control toward others around them, the world would be so much better. The bottom line is…for that to happen, more people need to come into a relationship with Jesus and become His disciples. Our world needs us to love people to Jesus. (and then to see them discipled)
Galations 5:22-23 says, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience,kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. Against such things there is no law.”
I’ll take another serving of fruit please and pass the plate!
