Following the Son…
Jesus answered, “I am the way and truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” –John 14:6
Isn’t it amazing how sunflowers follow the sun? This phenomenon is a result of the sunflower being a phototropic plant. This means the sunflower follows the movement of the sun from east in the morning to west in the afternoon. The flower constantly looks toward and depends on the bright, radiant sun for life. (and the direction it faces)
I’m thinking the Christian life should be lived like the sunflower. We should have our eyes focused on Jesus and looking for His direction. (and moving in the direction He moves.)
Things go the best way they can when we are dependent on His movements, and when we follow His lead.
So, I’m going to try to be more like a sunflower and try to follow the Son, like it follows the sun! May you encounter His grace as you do the same.
Blessings,
Thora
Love sunflowers I want to follow the sun too!
