Comparison of our worth is a cruel lie that tortures us as women. We look at our lives and think if only my life was like hers I would be so happy. When our lives do not turn out the way we dreamed, hoped, worked for, comparison is waiting to pounce on us. Something I’ve learned about comparison is it causes us to look for the approval of others more than the approval of our God.
Ladies when we’re tempted to compare ourselves and think we’re not good enough, remember this: God created us to express, serve and give our own way. Not to be a shadow of another. The goal is never to live someone else’s life or be like someone else. We’re meant to display God’s glory to the world by living our own story.
Ladies in 2018 chose to love yourself, be your best self., and share God’s story in you with the world.
“You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!”
Psalms 139:13-18 NLT
From my heart to yours,
DaNetta Fernanedez
There is so much beauty in who God has made us each to be! I forget that a lot! Thanks DaNetta for the encouragement!
Living for an Audience of One!
So true, so easily forgotten even when the ending of your message is my favorite Psalm. Thank you for giving.
