Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law. I am a stranger on earth; do not hide your commands from me. –Psalm 119:18-19
I have traveled many places in the world. With bus routes, maps, directions in hand, we have walked around London, Sydney, and Tokyo. This was back in the day before GPS. It used to be so difficult to find places. I remember getting into Houston one night with my husband and trying to find our way across town in the dark. It was so frustrating.
GPS maps versus the old way. There is no contest. I like the new way. I like having good directions!
Similar to the GPS, (only without ever sending us in the wrong direction the way that voice sometimes does)
God and His word give us an inner compass.
When we make big life decisions, our Biblical core values can guide us. We have the Bible to go to for direction.
I cannot imagine trying to navigate life without the compass of the Word of God.
God, let us easily see your paths. Help us to listen to your still small voice!
Show me the path where I should walk, O Lord; point out the right road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you. –Psalm 25:4-5 (NLT)
