Life is filled with “Woulda, Shoulda, Coulda” moments. It’s those moments that leave us with regret. The years we chose to be lazy rather than digging deep and working hard at something. The words we should have said or the ones we should have held back. The possibilities we watched pass us by because of fear. I’m not talking about decisions we’ve surrendered upon the alter of sacrifice, letting go of a dream in order to pursue God’s best. No I am talking about the opportunities placed in our lives that we let pass by. The ministry God was placing on our heart, the mission trip we felt drawn to, the family we felt to cover in prayer.
Zig Zigler, a motivational speaker that went to be with Jesus this past year was quoted saying, “If you aim at nothing, you will hit it every time!” I want to challenge all of us in 2013 to live passionately and purposefully! So the question I am asking myself and you as we stand at the threshold of 2013 is, “What do you have in your hand?”
“Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might! For there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going” Ecclesiastes 9:10
Once the moment, the day, the week the year passes – it’s gone. “Time is free, but it’s priceless. You can’t own it, but you can use it. You can’t keep it, but you can spend it. Once you’ve lost it you can never get it back.”
So I ask us the question again, “What do you have in your hand?” and God says, “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might!”
This year give it all to God and whatever you find God has placed in your hand, do it, use it and live it for His glory!
From my heart to yours,
DaNetta Fernandez
