Henri Nouwen once said, “Community is where humility and glory touch. However, community is first of all a quality of the heart. It grows from the spiritual knowledge that we are alive not for ourselves but for one another. Community is the fruit of our capacity to make the interests of others more important than our own.”
I want to say that the quality of heart of our staff and volunteers who worked the recent Vineyard USA conference held at our church was over the top. I was so blessed at the service and humility and sacrifice of so many of our folks who came out to serve the pastors and leaders in the Vineyard movement in America.
People took off work, greeted, took registration, set out food, drove guests, and were hosts to those who had never been here before. Some stayed till midnight helping out. One guy stayed all night twice to protect equipment rented by VUSA. I was blown away by our church family and by how much they gave of themselves. I am blessed by the “quality of heart” of our church family here in Phoenix. What amazing servants.
Bless you!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
