These are interesting times we live in, aren’t they? Although nothing is new under the sun (Ecclesiastes 1:9), we are experiencing something unusual with the spread of the Coronavirus. Life as we know it has changed due to large events being postponed or cancelled and basic supplies are low in local stores.
I will admit, there have been moments when I have been tempted to be anxious about what is happening and not knowing what the near future holds. I am so grateful for the Holy Spirit’s guidance and reminder to take those thoughts captive and focus on our only source of true, lasting peace – Jesus Christ.
“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7
As believers, current circumstances bring us a great opportunity to share our faith and the source of our hope with the people around us who do not know Jesus as their Savior. This may open the door for conversations about your faith with others who are looking for peace.
“But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you about the hope you have. Be ready to give the reason for it. But do it gently and with respect.” 1 Peter 3:15
May we always be ready and willing to share the Gospel in order to lead others to the Lord Jesus Christ.
A good word Melissa.
Thanks Melissa for this positive reminder that Jesus is the answer for any circumstance. He has us in His lovings arms.
Wonderful perspective. Thank you Melissa!
