As followers of Jesus, we know what our future ultimately holds. Eternal life with the Lover of our soul. Peace and Joy like we have never known before. When you have something exciting happen in your life, what are you motivated to do? Share it with others!
I want to share the gospel with others so they can know Jesus like I do. Sometimes I allow life to get in the way. I get too caught up in the temporary to earnestly look for opportunities to speak to someone about the eternal.
The other day, I was thinking back over people in my life who I knew did not know the Lord personally. I felt bad that I did not share the gospel with them or encourage them to begin a relationship with Jesus. I see this as an opportunity for spiritual growth. I prayed for forgiveness and then asked the Holy Spirit to help me reach out to those who need to experience His love.
How can we be bold to reach others and spread the word of the Gospel?
- Pray for divine opportunities and conversations
- Look for people in your everyday life who don’t know Jesus as Lord and Savior
- Share a story about a time when Jesus answered a prayer
- Invite them to VC
- Pray again – that the Holy Spirit would work in their heart to begin a relationship with Him
Let me encourage you if this is something you find difficult to do. If we ask, God will equip us to do what He asks. He loves us and those around us. Blessing follows obedience.
