“Do you not know…you are not your own” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
That is the question God asks us when we face the storms of life, the struggles of relationships, the heartache of loss. Do you not know?
You have been bought with a price…1 Corinthians 6:20
You have been set apart for good works …Ephesians 2:10, 2 Timothy 2:21
You have a purpose … Psalms 138:8, Exodus 9:16, Philippians 2:12-13
You are loved…Ephesians 2:4-5, Romans 8:37-38, Romans 5:5
And yet; in the struggles we say where are you God? I say where are you God! Recently the Lord has been taking me deeper into this truth and asking me this question, “Do you not know you are not your own?” It has been a deepening and a stripping away of entitlement, plans, my will. The beautiful wonderful precious truth is God is at work and as we rest in Him, He promises to walk with us.
I encourage you to relinquish the ownership of your life! Embrace the truth, “I am not my own” and I believe we will discover purpose and joy because we belong to Him.
“Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” Phil. 1:6

“It has been a deepening and a stripping away of entitlement, plans, my will.” Such a refreshing honesty. Thank you for sharing.
Yes…
We forget this way too often. I know I do.
