The story of the wise men following Christ’s star has long been one of my favorite portions of the Christmas story. There is something so beautiful about stars in the dark night sky that warms my heart.
I have heard it said the scares of our lives that represent the hurts and disappointments, our failures and broken hearts, if we give them to God – surrender them to His grace – allow His truth to absorb the pain – then our scars will become like stars that shine bright the glory and grace of God for everyone who meets us to see.
This Christmas as you look at stars that decorate Christmas trees and twinkle in Christmas displays, remember we too can be like the star that lead the wise men to Jesus. We can shine with the testimony of God’s handiwork in our lives.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year – May you shine bright for Jesus!
“For we saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.” Matthew 2:2

Merry Christmas, DaNetta. Thank you.
I am going to read your post to my small group tomorrow night as we sit around my firepit, roast marshmallows, and share our Christmas memories. Thank you, DaNetta.
I always love Christmas and all the dtinraecoos. My husband is the one who gets super excited about it though and hauls all those bins down from the attic and up from the basement even before Thanksgiving. It always brings back fond childhood memories when I hear certain songs on the radio. Great time of the year!
