Vineyard Women – We design programs for women in all stages of life and value women connecting with God and others.

The Women’s Ministry at Vineyard North Phoenix is led by many women, serving in a variety of positions. On this blog, you’ll hear from six women who serve in leadership positions. We hope to add some guest bloggers as time goes on.

Thora and Brian Anderson planted Vineyard Church North Phoenix in 1985. Thora is a pastor at the Vineyard and assists Brian with his responsibilities leading the Southwest Region of the Vineyard USA. They have ministered in numerous countries. Thora loves raising up leaders and seeing people use the gifts and abilities God has given them. You might not know Thora taught high school English for 8 years before working at the church. She is the proud mother of two amazing and adorable children.

Connie Palmer, her husband Dan and two children have attended Vineyard since 1997. Connie has been a volunteer in Children’s Ministry, a Small Group hostess and leader, a volunteer in Women’s Ministry and currently is on staff part-time in Women’s Ministry. One thing you might not know about Connie is she jumped out of an airplane when she was 22 for fun and loved it!

Ana Stine has been a member of Vineyard Church of Phoenix for the past 11 years, where she’s served in Children’s, Compassion and Women’s Ministries. A native of Guatemala, Ana works as a Spanish interpreter. Her passion is teaching God’s Word to other people. She is married to Ron and has three teenage children.

Glynnis Whitwer, her husband Tod, and their five children have attended the Vineyard since 2000. Glynnis has been a small group leader, a volunteer in children’s ministry, and currently sings on the worship team. Glynnis also serves in Women’s Ministry leadership as a Care Group Coordinator. One thing you might not know about Glynnis is she and her family love the National Parks, and are trying to fill up their National Park Passport. Christi Schuman has been a part of the Vineyard since 1989 (basically growing up here). She has been playing music for years now and is currently leading worship for both the main services and women’s ministry. One thing that you might not know about Christi is that she LOVES to cook.

Kathy Kurlin and her husband Bob have attended the Vineyard since 2004. Kathy and her husband host a marriage small group and volunteer with the Vineyard Church catering and served with the Vineyard Dinner Club. Kathy recently published her first Christian novel. Kathy is the mother of three children and has one grandchild. You can read more about Kathy on her blog: www.kathleenkurlin.com.

Barb Erickson started coming to the Vineyard in July of 2001. She knew as soon as she set foot in the foyer that the Vineyard would be her church home and that she was going to be a part of it. Now Barb works part-time on the AV team for the church and volunteers in women’s ministry overseeing the sound and video for most of our events and oversees the entertainment for Girls’ Night Out.
