The Women’s Ministry at Vineyard North Phoenix is led by many women, serving in a variety of positions. On this blog, you’ll hear from women who serve in leadership positions. We hope to add some guest bloggers as time goes on.
Thora and Brian Anderson planted Vineyard Church North Phoenix in 1985. Thora is a pastor at the Vineyard and assists Brian with his responsibilities leading in Vineyard USA. They have enjoyed ministering in numerous countries over the years. Thora loves seeing people use the gifts and abilities God has given them. You might not know Thora taught high school English for 8 years before working at the church. She is the proud mother of two amazing and fascinating teenagers.
Nikki Quaid has been attending The Vineyard since she was in second grade. She’s married to Pastor David Quaid and they have 2 kids, ages 6 and 3. Nikki has a degree in Family and Human Development but only worked in the field for 3 years up until their first child was born. Her desire was to stay home with her kids and that’s what she spends her time doing now! Her heart is to raise her children up in the Lord, keep and strong marriage with her husband, encourage other women, and continue working in ministry. She’s on staff with Vineyard kids and she and David also lead a bible study small group. In her free time, she loves spending quality time with her family, working out and getting out of the house with friends. Life, motherhood and everything else is such a journey, honored we can do it all together!
Kathy Kurlin and her husband Bob have attended the Vineyard since 2004. Kathy and her husband host a marriage small group and volunteer with the Vineyard Church catering and served with the Vineyard Dinner Club. Kathy recently published her first Christian novel. Erica Petrowski was born and raised in a suburb outside of New York City and first began attending a Vineyard with her single mother in 1989. After a tumultuous adolescence and young adulthood, she re-dedicated her life in 2000. She moved to Arizona in 2011 after 9 years of living in NYC and has been married for over 15 years with 4 children. She has a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from FIT in NYC as well as an associate’s degree in Fine Arts. Erica coordinate’s the Back to School Giveaway, has helped with the prayer experience for one of the women’s conferences and has hosted a small group in her home for the past 4 years. She enjoys organizing, poetry, colors, presents, music, fine foods, good friends, fine wine, design, and the arts.
Jessica Cox has been attending Vineyard North Phoenix for the past 12 years. She is active in a women’s small group and helps out in Vineyard Kids. She is wife to Andy and mom to Brooke. She teaches English 3: American Literature and Creative Writing at Millennium High School in Goodyear, AZ. She has coached both volleyball and track and field during her 8 years there. Right now, she is focusing on serving God as a small group leader for Vineyard. She hopes to go on a mission trip sooner rather than later and maybe visit her Compassion sponsored child in Sri Lanka someday. Most of all she wants to share the love of Christ with everyone she meets.
Trish Johnson has been a member of Vineyard Church North Phoenix since 2005. Since then, Trish has served in Children’s Ministry, on the Ministry Team, and is currently leading a Women’s Small Group. She works in Information Technology, but her real passion is encouraging women to be their best. Trish is an aspiring writer and has the heart to serve in counseling ministries. In her spare time, she enjoys books, music, writing, travel, the occasional “geek out” and tacos.
Mollie Hanson has grown up being apart of VCNP as her dad,step-mom, and brother are all on staff. She is married and is a mama to two little men (ages 3 and 1) who keep her on her toes. Her husband recently got out of the Coast Guard and so they returned home to Arizona a year ago, after five years of travel and two different places to call home. She and her husband, Mike, both serve in youth ministry as the newest 6th-grade leaders. Her passion is an encouragement through writing and she has a heart for fellow mamas and also young wives. She hopes that through her writing fellow women would feel hope and relief that they are not alone in their struggle and that there is a big God and a fellow hot mess mama who are in their corner.
Heather Cook and her husband, Tyler, have been members of VCNP since 2013. They have 2 amazing little girls, ages 2 & 5. They currently lead a small group and volunteer in various areas of the church. Heather is on staff in Children’s Ministry where her heart is leading Children in their walk with the Lord. She believes in encouraging others to be who God created them to be. She enjoys being a listening ear and a kind word for those around her. Jennifer Followwill began attending Vineyard about 5 years ago. She served at the Food Bank for several years and she loves her small group. She works full-time at Arizona State University’s West Campus and teaches aerobics twice at week at Glendale Jazzercise. When she’s not working, she loves to be the best aunt ever to her two teenage nephews, cheer on the Diamondbacks, hike, nap, and binge-watch TV shows.
Ayse Miller Bol is in love with the LORD and grateful! She is a wife, mama, grandma, and semi-retired teacher. She loves cooking, history, science, and travel and combines them in her hobby of studying cultures and beliefs through cooking. She says her “7 spices” are Jesus, Family, Travel, Cooking, Praying, Writing and Research.
Melissa Paul has been at Vineyard Church North Phoenix since 2006. She is a wife and mother of 3. Melissa has a Bachelor’s degree in Communication with a minor in Business. She has worked in public relations, marketing, health & wellness community education and as a CPR instructor. At the Vineyard, she has volunteered in Children’s and Women’s Ministry and follows the Vineyard Justice Network. Melissa likes to travel, read and spend time with family and friends.
