Everything About You Represents Him

Life is meant to be lived as a whole and not compartmentalized.   (As opposed to…This is my church life, and this is  my home life and this is my work life…and they are all very different from each other.)  Matthew 5:37 says, Let your statement be, “yes, yes,” or “No, no”; anything beyond these is of evil.

We should not separate life into little compartments, some having to do with God and others, not.  Everything about us represents HIM.  If we say we are a Christian, what many people think about us is what they will think about God.

I grew up in a small town and we often knew which “Christians” were living compartmentalized lives.  As a youth, it was so disappointing to me when I found out sad truths about some of the adults I knew.  Some were from my church.

Integrity for a Christian should be normal.  Our “yes” should be “yes” and our “no” should be “no.”

Choose to be a good representative!  Choose to let integrity be normal!

Bless you,

Thora

  1. Amen! All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ anything beyond this comes from the evil one. Matthew 5:37
