God is not a God of Disorder, but of Peace.  ICor. 14:33A

We have all witnessed things lately in our country which do not seem at all peaceful or helpful.  It saddens me.  I have been so disappointed that my kids are seeing such dysfunction in our country—basically every day in the news.  To other countries, America is not held in the esteem it used to be.

Now might be a good time to think of what Jesus would do if he lived in a nation like ours.  Would he be yelling, inciting, and participating in violence?  We only need to read our New Testaments to see how Jesus acted while on this earth.  When Jesus‘ followers saw that Jesus was going to be taken by the authorities, they said, “Lord, should we strike with our swords?” And one of them struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his right ear. But Jesus answered, “No more of this!” And he touched the man’s ear and healed him.  That is how Jesus acted.  Now, in Heaven, Jesus is praying for us.

I implore you, to take the high road.  Do what Jesus did.

I am going to make it a point to pray more for my country in 2021 than I did in 2020.

Blessings,

Thora
