The Amazing Grace of God in Difficulties

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

2 Corinthians 12:8–10 (NIV)

I talk to so many people going through difficult circumstances each week.

My sister has debilitating MS and lives in a care home. I have kept praying year after year, that the progression of the disease would stop…”If only, Lord…it could stay at this stage and not get any worse…”

It has kept getting worse.

Now it has affected her thinking, which is very sad to me.   Sometimes all I can do is pray, “I don’t understand God.  But I choose to trust you.”

You may also have areas where the only thing you can choose is TRUST in a loving God.

Only God can get us through the heart-felt sadness of what life sometimes brings.

Only Jesus can bring true comfort.

Only Heaven will bring release.

Blessings,

Thora

  1. It’s not always easy to understand why God doesn’t answer our prayers when we want Him to. His ways are not our ways. Your sister is blessed to have your unwavering love and support, Thora. Praying for all of you.
