I need Information!

The first year of our daughter Zoe’s life, we read a lot of books about children and babies. I did what many first-time parents do and read multiple books about babies, books about parents, books about discipline, about whining…and on and on. I read contrasting opinions, trends, medical opinions, Christian viewpoints, opposing Christian viewpoints, and asked a lot of questions to my friends. I really needed answers.

The amount of information given in these books is staggering. One of my favorite books was What to Expect the First Year, as it actually had answers to most questions which came up the first year.

I wish life was like this…a book with answers for each year of life. Wouldn’t that be great!  Well…

As it turns out, as Christians, we have been given the ultimate 411 reference book. We have been given the gift of the Bible, the living and active Word of God.

I would say it is the most comprehensive book on how to live life.

While it is beneficial to talk with friends, seek out wisdom from others, and read multiple books, we must always remember that there is one ultimate truth source that God has given us: The Bible

So…use it! Read it. Devour it like you crave the information. It is the best and most useful book you will ever read.
