Gratitude: Thank You Very Much!

I want to be grateful for the Small Things!

In case simply wanting to be more grateful is not enough, I recently read that gratitude improves your health!  (Now that is even more motivation!)

Too often I am looking for BIG THINGS to happen. Great  things.  Amazing things.  What I sometimes overlook are the little things that happen all around me that I take for granted!

I’m thankful to have coffee in the morning. (espresso actually)

I’m thankful for my husband and children. (This is in no way a small thing, but I do think I take it for granted too often and get irritated too easily.)

I am thankful for that person who called me back and didn’t make me track them down.

I am thankful for the ability to smell good things. (and sometimes eat them)

I am thankful for gorgeous weather that brings out neighbors at night.

I am thankful my kids like to do well in school.

I am thankful for that person who opened the door for me.

I am thankful for peanut butter and ice cream…and real butter…and cheese!!

I am thankful for elastic waist pants.

I am thankful that I could go on and on.

What are some things you are thankful for today?

Giving Thanks,

Thora

  1. Thora,
I’m partial to the elastic waist bands, but primarily, I’m thankful for you and Brian. You are both a Delight and a huge part in our lives, & so I Thank God for YOU.

  2. I’m thankful for the painful trials and tribulations that cause me to lean on God almighty. It makes me feel like it’s Gods way of saying I want you closer to Me.

  3. I am thankful for my family. I am grateful that we (my family) are safe and getting to be around each other more and getting to know each other better. I am also thankful to God for the small group that he led us to.

  4. I am thankful that’s have found a man who loves God and makes him a part of our relationship. He loves me for me and makes me feel special every single day. We attend church together and are involved in 50 days to a Blessed life together.

  5. I too am thankful for coffee on cold mornings and yes, cheese! I am so thankful for the friendships that have been birthed through small group, for my kids and grandkids – all not small things… and I am thankful for warm weather and the chirping of birds flying around in trees again! 😉
