My Eyes Are Open Wide

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭1:7‬ NLT‬‬

It’s a crazy world we live in. My eyes are open wide. When I was a kid I didn’t have any thought of planes hitting buildings, I didn’t have to know where the nearest exit was in a movie theater, or practice lock-downs in my classroom.

My children will experience the world in a very different way than I ever did.

I have had to make a choice- I will not be afraid. I will not let fear rule my life.

When I pray I lay my fears down at His feet so that I can stand under the heavy burden of this world and say my God is greater and my God is stronger regardless of what’s going on around me.

My children are in His hands, My Family is in His hands, My friends, My neighbors, I lay them all down.

Because living in fear won’t change a thing. I’ve been praying about change lately- what have you been praying for?

  1. This is a good word, Erica. We have to make a choice not to let fear, but trust in a good God, rule our lives. Thank you.

  2. Erica, Thank you for an Excellent Word & reminder, especially for me as I have brought into the lies of going from fear to fear, vs. Faith To Faith (In Him)!
