One of my favorite songs is Resurrection Power by Chris Tomlin. No matter what is happening in my day, I always feel encouraged. Listening to these words gets my perspective back in place and reminds me of something amazing that I sometimes forget.
“Now I have resurrection power
Living on the inside
Jesus, you have given us freedom
No longer bound by sin and darkness
Living in the light of your goodness
You have given us freedom”
About a month ago, my son was going through a very tough time. God reminded me of this song as I was trying to encourage him and it made me realize that I need to remember this every single day.
I told my son that the Holy Spirit’s power in us is exactly the same power that raised Jesus from the dead. Because of that, no matter what we face in life, we can be encouraged and know God with help us through whatever it is we face.
What an amazing and merciful God we serve!
