The View From Up Here

It’s been one days, one of those weeks. The to-do list seems to be growing faster than it is shrinking, and the pressure is on. With tired eyes, an anxious tummy, and knotting shoulders, I am urged to remember that there is power in perspective.

I know our time here is short, and nothing compared to what is ahead in His kingdom. I breathe and remember that He is in control, and He is a good God. These worries and stresses will be quickly forgotten with the turning of the calendar, and certainly when looking back over a lifetime of service.

Take heart, my friends who are wading patiently through the mire of life’s valleys. Let us remember to lift our eyes and choose to have a 30,000 foot view of our circumstances.

  1. So true! Take time to step back and just breathe!
(With start of school, it seems so hectic, and in a few years it will only be a memory. I better try to enjoy it.)

  2. I love the 300,000 mile-high perspective! If we’d just stop and think about how God sees our present circumstances – so very small in comparison. Because He is BIG though we are not. And He cares and is able to transform our circumstances and to show us, over and over again, that nothing is impossible for and through Him. Thanks for sharing!!! I’m sure that a lot of anxious mommies whose children are about to embark on a new school year are especially grateful for this reminder.
