WE and WFW

These are some thoughts on my mind…Women on Wednesday…Wonderful Fun Women…Wednesday’s Fabulous Women…or… Women Full of Worship…or WE:  Worship, Connect, Learn.

You might have guessed I am thinking of what is coming up this Wednesday, September 7th.

What I am actually thinking of is our Women’s Evening and our Women’s First Wednesday (morning) events.

Vineyard Women shifted its monthly women’s gatherings so both events meet on the first Wednesday of the month.  (This should be easy for all of us wise women to remember.) J

My heart for Women’s Ministry at Vineyard is that it would be a place where women can connect with God and other women.  I envision all of us being at our friendly best and welcoming those who may have ventured out for the first time to meet some new people.  We never know how we may touch someone just by being friendly or inviting them to sit with us at our table.  Being friendly can not only make the difference of someone returning themselves, but possibly of one of that person’s family members get saved down the road because this person, in turn, invited them.  In a way, it is like mining a vein of gold.  How exciting!  You never know who might be touched from a welcoming woman–a wonderful woman—a woman like you!

We have two great opportunities coming up this week.

Women’s Evening (The first Wednesday evening of the month) begins at 6:45 p.m.  The topic, “Becoming a Woman of Grace,” will also be taught in the evening by Thora Anderson (me).  I am so excited to see what God will do.

Women’s First Wednesday (The first Wednesday morning of the month) begins at 9:00 a.m.

Both events include worship, teaching and discussion.  Events are free. (An offering is taken for child care in the morning.)  Both also meet in the Middle School Auditorium.  Please pick up a brochure for more details.

God Bless you!

Thora

  1. I’m already touched and blessed and can’t wait to partake as this will be my very first time coming. I don’t know a lot of people, even though I’ve attended the church since November last year; my goal is to get connected with as many women as I can, because I know that I have just as much to give as I do being a recepient. More importantly, it’s all for the glory of God as we all get connected to Him. Thanks and I look forward to an explosive expereince!

  2. Okay! I don’t know if you’ve heard, but I sing/worship and will be joining the worship team pretty soon! Just waiting for Matt! I am so excited and can’t wait for that, because singing and worship/praise are my favorite things to do! So I’m looking forward to seeing how I can serve you guys! Thanks Thora!
